Hi everyone, my name is Tim! I am signed up for a duathlon in May, a sprint in June and August and an Olympic in September. I'm brand new to the sport itself, but not to swimming, biking, and running. If anyone lives near the Grove City area or really in Central Ohio that would like to ride or run, let me know. I'm not fast by any means, biking is my strongest sport, running is closer to 9/min miles. I swim at the Grove City Y 2x a week right now as I work on my form. If any guys are interested, please let me know! [email protected] or message me on here.

Thanks!

Hi Tim!
Welcome!

I'm a north sider, but maybe I'll see you at a race! Also sometimes people gather for open water swimming practice at Alum Creek. I'll post here if we do. You can subscribe to this forum so you'll be emailed if there is a new post.

Hi Tim!

I met you at the Y this morning. You were swimming with your buddy. We should definitely plan on swimming together, I know it would do me good to have someone to be accountable to so I get my butt outta bend in the morning to swim!

David! It was great to meet you this morning! I am planning on swimming at the Y 2x a week and those days are flexible, as well as the time frame (I like to be in the pool by (6:15 or 6:30, 7 at the latest). Feel free to shoot me a text at 614-406-9316 today and we can find some times that work. Ryan, my uncle-in-law, that you met this morning has a hectic schedule, so we don't swim together as often. I definitely wouldn't mind an accountability partner, especially another Ironman one!

Alice, you may not remember me, I used to work for PNC and went to the meetings at Little Bear on Friday mornings with Cody Martin, back 9 months or so ago. Good to hear from you!

Hi Tim,

I'd like to join in for some group workouts with others if my schedule allows. I used to swim at the GC Y, but on my way home from work instead of way in. I ended up not training or racing at all last year and am trying to rid my self of the weight I gained, reset the bad habits I developed, and regain my endurance.. so basically fat and slow right now.

There used to be several triathletes in the masters class at the downtown Y I swam with. I think nick still coaches up there, so might be worth dropping in to a saturday AM masters class.

Aalbury, that sounds interesting. I'm new to swimming (at least swimming properly) but I think I'm catching on quickly. I'm usually at the Y 6 days a week around 6:15-6:30 and I wrap up around 8 most days. Let me know if you want to swing in and do some work or meet and run/ride. As far as being slow go's, I am slow as well! So no worries there!
