Comments: Let the excitement of the start get me going too fast. Felt OK, but when I finished my first time up the hill on Lancaster Ave & saw a 6:08 mile I knew I had started too fast. Hung on the second time up the hill and then strugled home even though that was mostly downhill. What would you do differently?: Start out slower. Post race
Warm down: Got some water & some food--nice spread What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor pacing and not much speed work Event comments: Nice 5k--a bit more challenging than I expected but still nice. Good refreshment set-up post race--even had massages available! Last updated: 2006-09-09 12:00 AM

Glass of OJ and drove over to the race.
10' easy running followed by 4 sets of strides. Then some "group" stretching along with TRIBMAC at the starting line.
