I'm starting to bike outdoors again. I can keep warm on everything but my feet. I have two pairs of socks and toe covers. Any advice for really warm toe covers or other options?

Tuck hottie hand warmers into your toe covers.

Are you using wool socks? A pair of good quality wool socks make a huge difference for me.

You probably already have this covered (haha), but I'm going to mention it just to make sure -- keep the areas above the feet warm. If you're using knee warmers and letting the shins get cold, that will just cool the blood supply to the feet. Keep the lower legs warm and protected from wind and it will help.

Thanks for the post. I am going through the same thing, just started riding here in Michigan. Will give the wool socks and warmers in the shoes and see if that helps. Did 3 hrs yesterday and couldn't feel my toes.

With the extra socks, there's no room.

I've found that wool socks, a thin extra sock, plus shoe covers are good down to 25-30 degrees. Are we talking colder than that? Even at that temps, your toes might get a little cold and numb. . . the feeling comes back quick once you get back inside

I was last out at 5 C (40 F) and my toes got cold with two thick socks and toe covers.

Toe covers, not shoe covers? Tri shoes or regular bike shoes? 40F with wool socks, reg. bike shoes, and shoe covers really should be enough. . .

Toe covers and tri shoes. I was just looking at some shoe covers. I'm guessing that they are warmer.
