If people could seed themselves appropriately that would be great. Caught 4 people on the first lap alone (2 the first length).

A little longer than usual due to putting on a jacket to protect myself from the elements.

Remember glasses for the bike... rain in the eyes hurt.

Volunteer sent us in the wrong direction. Did 4 miles into a harsh headwind on a horrible road. Ended up doing over 1.5 miles extra.

The flooded trails slowed me down a fair bit. Run was .24 short according to my Garmin. Didn't push as hard as I should've.

Getting sent the wrong direction on the bike straight into a headwind. Legs still sore from marathon/getting hit by car the previous week.


I appreciate Bob stepping up and taking over this race when the original promoter decided to stop holding races. However, no course maps posted, no real overview at the pre-race meeting, needed several more volunteers, and needed the volunteers they did have to be informed of the course. Awards were late and unorganized as well. I'm 100% confident that the RD will learn a lot from this and the future races will be better.
