New to triathlon, but have always wanted to do it, starting a little late at 48 y/o. I am about two weeks out from my first event, a sprint length. My focus is to enjoy the thrill of my first event. No real concerns, but definitely feel the run is my weakest part of the event, but working on it. It seems they have a classification just for me Master Clydesdale...love it!! Any input or advice is appreciated...Steve

Welcome!

Don't let the term "Master Clydesdale" mislead you.  Some of those guys are darn fast!

Competed and completed my first triathlon. It was really good experience. I had set a time goal fro myself and unfortunately missed it by 5 minutes. take away's from my first event...drink while on the bike. I took only a few sips half way through the ride. Need to streamline the swim to bike transition and focus on the run. Honestly the swim was where i was most comfortable, bested my training swim time by 30 seconds. Planning on another event in august. A few days of rest, then back to training.
