Good morning BT!

Wishing Karen all sorts of speed and luck and no foot problems so she can run a great race at World's today!!!

I was in Reno/Lake Tahoe Thursday/Friday with my CC team.  10 minutes before my freshmen were set to race the sky darkened--thunder, lightning, rain, and hail pummeled us! It was crazy!  Needless to say the entire meet was cancelled!  Such a bummer to go all that way and not get to run.  Oh well.  At least it wasn't a hurricane, earthquake, or fire!

Going to try to get in an hour or so on the mountain bike a little later--but also hoping to score some Joan Jett tickets as she's in town tonight!

Have a great day!

Hope you got those tickets to Joan Jett, awesome!

7.5 mile run this evening, little slower then last nights 10k and quite abit more sore. Tomorrow shall be my weekly 2 mile ocean swim and hoping to get in 60-80 miles on the bike Monday.

Have a great rest of the weekend BT

Ugh--not only sore foot but a little more pre-race drama than I'd hoped. Rover and I arrived in one piece in Chattanooga but I somehow managed to get either food poisoning or a 24-hour bug on Thursday and spent much of that day throwing up or trying not to. Yesterday I managed to get some food down but definitely not my usual pre-race feeding! Really worried I wouldn't be able to start as just setting up my bike and gear bags yesterday almost did me in, but I felt better this morning and did manage to finish the race. I had a strong bike (not sure about the swim--it was super slow, but not sure how much was me and how much the fact that almost half of it was upriver against the current); the run was somewhat of a painful, under-fueled death march but I pretty much knew that going into it and just focused on the bike. Not the placing I had hoped (120th out of about 200) but it was a beautiful, if brutal course and amazing experience.
