Subject: Pickle Juice
I had some pretty bad legs cramps on my 70.3 recently. A friend sent me this link about pickle juice. Has anyone ever found it helpful?

Someone sent me the link after I had serious problems with cramping on both the run and bike at CDA. Haven't gotten any or tried it yet, though. In my case, I'm not sure it's an electrolyte issue that triggers the cramping. It's actually only happened in races with a cold swim and cool conditions early on the bike. I think more a muscle fatigue or inadequate warmup issue in my case. But some people do swear by it.

  I drank about a cup of Pickle Juice during the Oklahoma Bike Tour in July of 2016 when we were out riding for 8 hours in 103 def F.  I didn't get any cramps but am not sure if I would have with out the pickle juice.  I did start to get cramps durring my 70.3 a three weeks ago.  I took in a lot of electrolyte tablets and the seem to get rid of the cramps but I did hit the Pickle juice again at the rest stops.  Again I am not sure if it helped or not but the 3-4 races that cramps were an issue I didn't take any pickle juices.  If you are cramping you will try anything so it is worth a try.  :-)
