Good morning BT!

4:45am:  :40 minute run with some pick ups in the middle

5:30am:  core and stretching

Ugh, so sorry Karen!  I hope by Feb. you can run and do this race to your full ability.  I know what you mean about the training just to train with no goal.  I'm OK with that for a few months, but then I know I need a goal to keep going.  I took care of that the other day when I officially signed up for Bryce Canyon 50K trail run in June...

Off to Reno today...hoping to report a State title this weekend! Have a great day BT!

Racing to full ability, even with a miracle cure, is just not going to happen in that time frame. Best case scenario I can start run/walk in 3-4 weeks. That gives me ten weeks to the race. It's a long way from zero to a 1:45 HIM run leg. Not sure I will see that again at my age after that much time off.

Anyway, I am not doing the training to set myself up for an optimal race right now. Even if healthy it would be more of a "complete" race. I actually have run some of that course years ago, and it is beautiful, mostly on trails--would suck to go all the way there and not be able to do it. But if I have to I will go just for the swim and bike. Toying with the idea of switching to the full if I'm still not running by next month--If I'm not going to be running anyway, why not get my money's worth on the rest of it? Not sure this would be allowed, though.

AM: One hour trainer ride with some Z2 stuff and a bunch of short pickups.
PM: 30 minutes of strength stuff.

Good luck at State!

Hey, BT, I'm alive! I had the flu last week (despite getting the flu shot a month before), and it's taken me a long time to recover.

6:30 - 45' strength

Good luck at state, Kim. Have a great day and weekend, BT!
