Subject: 12.13.17 Happy Hump Day!

Good morning BT!

4:45am:  :45 minutes on the trainer 6X5:00 Z3 work.  Felt awesome to be back on the bike!

5:30am:  Upper body strength stuff + core

Karen sounds like some epic days for you!  Same here--today more of the same.  Immediately after school we have back to back basketball games. My younger daughter Liv is the Wolverine mascot so she'll be busy entertaining.  As soon as games are over we have to hot foot it to the concert hall for the band/choir concert--Liv is one of three trumpet players!  Busy afternoon/evening!  Just hanging on 'til Friday!!!

I keep thinking it's Thursday. Alas . . .

11:35 - 10' warm up run, followed by strength - lots of stuff for legs, but also some stuff to work my shoulders. Ouch.

Kept thinking it was Thursday too but it wasn't.

5:30 AM--1:05 trainer ride with 45 minutes of high Z2/low Z3 stuff
4:45 PM--2500m in the pool; easy recovery stuff. The lights stayed on for my swim. Not taking that for granted anymore!

Plus I ran/walked a bunch with my younger XC kids. Sometimes with the beginners there is no way to teach pacing but just stay with them and make sure they are doing a "conversational pace". AKA Run, walk, and talk with the kid(s). My newest runner is a tiny eight year old who looks six--so cute watching her little legs go! One of the 4th graders who was really struggling earlier somehow managed to run/walk almost 5 km in half an hour. (They set lap goals each day; once they reach them they can either keep going, or go to a sprint or field event station for the rest of practice.) Wow!

Two more days to go!
