 130  |  Subject: New tiresOk, So I'm looking to upgrade my tires for the season. Currently I'm trying to decide on 700x23 (current size) or going up just a little to the 700x25. The roads are not super smooth where I ride. I need to replace my tires since I've been burning my old ones out on the trainer. I know there isn't a huge difference but I have a pretty good engine on the bike but suboptimal handling. Would I notice much of a difference in comfort or handling with a mildly wider tire? |

Expert 4628   Middle River, Maryland Silver member | Subject: RE: New tires I ride 23s on the front and 25s on the back - I really noticed the difference going from 23 to 25 on the rear tire in terms of comfort. As for tire recommendations, Continental GP4000s II's. Best combination of flat resistance, comfort, handling, and rolling resistance that I've found. |

Master 3888 Overland Park, KS | Subject: RE: New tires x2 on the Conti GP4000S II's. I normally use the 25's but ordered 23's by mistake year before last and didn't really notice a difference. I do use the 25's on my road bike where I have more technical riding (I've raced a few crits and road races) and they handle well. Great all around tire, I've gotten more than 2,500 miles on a few of them without flatting. |
