Bald Eagle Mountain Megatransect

Hey there: It's Tim from Altoona. I just came across this thread from Sept. and it really interests me. I have run Marathon dist. on road, but I much rather run off-road. Do you have any info on the 2007 Megatransect? Do I need to enter now? I read on the 2006 site that there are a limited number of entrants allowed.

Wow, that sounds really cool. I've backpacked in that area though not on those trails, and I remember the boulder sections could only charitably be described as 'rough'. What's the time limit for the race? Didn't see that on the race web site.

Sounds great! We'll all have to touch base before the run and hook up for the event. We may even have to sport our own "team" jerseys. We'll be the slightly unstable tri group from Central Pa. (They don't look crazy, but I saw the bald one trying to bite his own face.)

I'm planning on doing it in '07. Learned of it too late for '06, but it's on my calendar for next year.
