i am reconsidering doing the full marathon next year (on the day i'm finally able to walk down the stairs w/o pain after a trail 1/2. hee hee). it would be my A race for the season, and my first marathon. i would like to do a 1/2 marathon before the full, but i know there are not a lot of options. anyone else thinking about doing the full and/or some of the early 1/2 marys? here are some that i'm considering:

jan = securian: http://www.raceberryjam.com/carnival.html

early may = Wells Fargo 1/2 Marathon

mid may = new prague: http://www.raceberryjam.com/newprague.html

mid may = apple blossom: (if its not on e's bday)

mid april = Earth Day 1/2 Marathon, st. cloud (although packet pick up is the night before ).

anyone else thinking about doing any of these? maybe we could have a BT carpool?

I live in New Prague and my wife, brother and his fiance have all done the New Prague half several times. They all really like it. I have now convinced myself that I am going to try to get into Grandmas half marathon this year and will also try to do the New Prague half. Maybe we can get together at our place next year after the race.

You never cease to amaze me! I won't be joining you in a full marathon, but good luck and kudos to you!

I'll most likely be at New Prague again next year. Even though the weather was imperfect this year I did think it was a quality race. As for carpooling.....will you pick me up in Rochester?

i don't drive

'carpooling' is my coy way of asking someone to come pick ME up

if i left early enough, and you're okay with riding the trail-a-bike, then maybe

posted up above as well, but I did securian as a spring board to grandma's full marathon, as well. (Way back in 2001.) It worked out great -- the february half (it's a week early this year) really got me excited about (and kept me training for) the main event!
