I was born in Germany (Navy brat)

Happycow and I started dating in High School

The best job I ever had was when I worked in a movie theater. The whole Forensics thing is cool but I loved the movies.

I don't read...anything, ever. In college I only bought the books I HAD to have.

I would like to get to 2400 posts, but I never have anything good to write about

I hear ya. I used to hate kids. I never wanted to be a dad because I thought I'd be terrible and didn't want the guilt of screwing up some innocent kid. Amy had similar feelings (she thought I'd be a terrible dad, too--kidding), and that's why we waited so long (we were married 10 years before Nola).

But it turns out that they're not so bad, and I think I do a pretty good job.

I've had a hard time learning to admit that to people. I am comfortable with it now, it just never has been for me. No interest in babysitting, nothing that ever makes me long for it. I don't think I could be a good enough mother and raising children is too much of a responsibility to the world that I cannot go through with it. If a man in my life didn't want a vasectomy I would get my tubes tied at that age as well.

Anyway, carry on.

I love to surf. I'm not terribly good at it but I love it.

Hmmm.  I'm a pretty dull, boring person - trying to think of things that might be interesting.  In the past I've talked about my mechanical heart valve, so that's not news.  Here's a few things:

  • I'm left-handed.  In fact, my whole family - mom, dad, & brothers were left-handed.
  • I have two fused vertebrae in my neck.
  • My mother was friends with James Dean growing up in Fairmount, IN

My Maternal grandparents names are Ken (Kenneth) and Barbee. Coincidentally, my mom and dad just knew that my sister was going to be a boy and were going to name the boy Kenneth after our grandfather. When she came out a girl, they named her Kendra instead. She is now married to a Kenneth.

Born , raised and still live in Montreal , Canada and I don't play hockey.  Both of my kids ( Benn and Mandy) and my wife play hockey so I have learned to drink  hot chocolate while I freeze my butt at the arena.

  • In college, I once had about 37 jobs at once. I 1) was the news editor for the school paper; 2) I delivered the school paper; 3) I was an RA; 4) I worked at Arby's (and still eat Arby's occasionally, ironically); and 5) Lifeguarded. And went to school full time for Biology. I got bored after I quit swimming, I guess.
  • I can chug like nobody's business.
  • I like sexy time. High five!
  • Jaws if my favorite movie.
  • When we were kids, I got my brother to thow his lit sparkler in a dumpster, which caused a giant dumpster fire.

My grandpa struck out Ted Williams.  He was a good sidearm pitcher for his town ball team and Ted came through on some exhibition.  The story is that it was a 13 pitch at bat with Ted fouling off everything that came at him.  Finally, he took a big cut on what he thought was a fastball up the middle and it dove on him at the plate.

I'm not sure I want kids either...

I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.  I've been trying to figure it out for at least 5 years now and I still don't know.  It makes me a little crazy.

I had back surgery when I was 20.  Had some of a herniated disc cut out.  I have scoliosis (they noticed it during checks in gym class but *never told my parents*), degenerative disc disorder, and arthritis.  But I don't care

I g33ked out over meeting Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel back in August while on vacation.  Other than that, I've never met anyone famous.  Well, we passed Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick in the Village one day while they were taking their kid for a walk in a stroller.  All I saw was a bunch of people looking at a kid in a stroller, so I just kept walking.  My friends were all googly and I was still oblivious.  When they told me who it was, I looked back down the block and my first thought was "Wow, they're short."

Add me to the no-kids club.

I had a picture taken with Jacky Chan when I was a teenager.

I married a stripper

Well, he was one at one time, right after college, one of those All Male Revue's. I joke about it all the time, but he was really serious about it, LOL!

Yes, I have had a lap dance from him

one of my good friends adopted after a battle w/ infertility. she couldn't try for years to get pregnant, because she also has RA. it was a choice between having a biological child and possibly being crippled by her disease, or choosing adoption and getting on the medication that would slow down the illness. she picked the latter...because she wanted to be an active, healthy mom. made me realize completely that its not about biology at all. she gave more of herself to be a mom, a good mom, than most bio-moms do.

All that remains is his turquoise thong (which apparently in the male revue world is called a T strap), pictures from a bachelorette party have mysteriously come up missing.

My previous avatar was the NY Yankee logo, I'm a fierce fan.  After they choked this year, I got a lot of crap, my way of slinging it back was posting a picture of Bill Buckner.  I'm in search of a new avatar, but am having some trouble.

BYTW Renee - My wife says that I have devilish good looks, got best looking in HS, and @ 32 years old, still can't grow a moustache.

I too am left handed.

I have never had a cavity.

I was once in a bar fight in Guantanamo Bay.

I make a lot of my own furniture (coffee tables, desks, shelves, etc.).

I'm smack dab in the middle of a long-overdue divorce.

BT is the first website I go to when I get on the internet.
