Triathlon Camp in Phoenix January 26-28

The 2007 ICTN Triathlon Camp Friday Morning – Sunday Noon, January 26-28, 2007 in Phoenix, AZ (actually, Peoria)

WHO: All endurance athletes, runners, cyclists, duathletes, triathletes, etc. Also, spouses, race directors, coaches and anyone else who wants to attend are more than welcome to come. If you are brand new to the sport or a seasoned pro, you’ll find this to be an awesome weekend! WHAT: A 2 1/2 day Spiritual / Physical training camp. We'll have great times together of spiritual encouragement through large group sessions where we'll enjoy fellowship, singing, testimonies, networking and teaching. We have four pastors coming who have all completed Ironman distance triathlons and who will bring inspirational messages to encourage us in the race of life. You will also learn how to help other endurance athletes know where they are in their spiritual journey by using a booklet that is specific to triathlon and easy to understand.

WHEN: The camp will start Friday morning, January 26th with breakfast at the hotel or your host home. For those driving or flying in from outside of Phoenix we urge you to arrive Thurs. afternoon or evening, so you are ready to go first thing on Friday. We'll end Sunday, January 28th at noon, in time for everyone to get home by that night. Schedule for Friday and Saturday look something like this: Mornings - First half - Inspirational Meeting, and, Second half – Endurance Workshops/Clinics Afternoons – Swim, Bike, Run Workouts and Coaching Evenings – Clinics/Workshops, then Networking, Fellowship and Inspirational Meeting Sunday Morning – Final Workshop/Clinic, followed by the final Inspirational Meeting

HOST HOTEL Comfort Suites, 8473 W. Paradise Lane, Peoria, AZ. 623-334-3993. A special camp rate of $99.00 per night has been arranged. Mention the ICTN Triathlon Camp when you call. For those flying in, you'll fly into the main Phoenix airport - Sky Harbor. Home stays are also an option while the availability lasts. These will be secured via the registration form and payment for the camp being received, again, as long as there are homes available. Same gender hotel roommate situations may possibly be arranged as well. WHY: The ICTN is not a ministry itself but is a network of ministries and individuals. It is an umbrella under which everyone can gather to build friendships, learn from each other and encourage one another. The ICTN Steering Committee feels that an annual, Christ-centered, national level camp will be a great way to do this. As far as we know there is nothing like this available at this time in the USA.

COST: Sept. 1 – Nov. 22 - $195.00 Nov. 23 – Dec. 31 - $205.00 Jan. 1, 2007 – Jan. 13 - $225.00 – Don’t pay this much. Register early! We believe this camp will fill very quickly. The first 120 to register are in! This price includes all the sessions, including clinics and workshops, lunch and dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday, all workouts, use of pool, snacks, etc. Not included – dinner on Sat. evening, travel, bike shipping and hotel. (Check out other similar camps and you’ll be amazed at how inexpensive this is in comparison to them.) Refund policy – full refund before Dec. 31, 2005. BIKES: You can send your bike to Kevin Weitzel at Tribe Multisport www.TribeMultisport.com if you don't want to travel with it. Tribe is the only tri specific shop in the Valley and Kevin is an awesome brother who will bend over backwards to see that your bike is ready to ride at the camp.
