Subject: RE: Annual December Swim challange, ANYONE???

Well now we can see who are the slackers and who have some dedication to the cause!  The Crazy Canucks must have nothing better to do in the great white north and while I'm out running and biking in Florida they're piling on the laps to lead all teams out of the gate, nice work guys!  The Crabs and Curmudgeons are in a close fight for 2nd.  Blizzards and RoF are following close behind waiting for a slip while the Fish are sucking some bait butt and bringing up the rear far behind.

Onto week #3...

Your welcome! I hope its helping...

Aggregated percentage is a carry over from the challenge last year that I kept around, it basically is a means add a twist to things, break a tie or even things out between different team sizes.  It is the average of the two pecentages above it.  As people start meeting their goals the "Team Overall Goal met Percentage" will start increasing and the numbers will start changing a lot more.

Simple long course race management, just drafting as there's no need to tire ourselves out just yet, plenty to go

Are there any people who are still missing teams?  I noticed widgeon wanted to participate, but didn't have a team at the time.  Has that been resolved?

Sorry Artemis, I injured my shoulder and haven't participated.  I ought to have looked at this thread before now, but assumed that since I didn't sign for a team I wouldn't be missed.  Thanks for checking!

I have been following the challange but did not see what is at stake for the loosers.? ( do I have to find a digital  camera to take a pic of my butt ? ) What are the boasting rights for the winners.

Subject: Carolina Curmudgeons: Winners of the Dec Swim challenge!

Here are the final results for the 2nd annual BT December Swim challenge, CONGRATS TO THE CHAMPS, THE CAROLINA CURMUDGEONS!!!

I'd like to thank everyone for committing to the challenge and hopefully it was helpful for you, great job on the efforts to all.  For myself I was able to get several breakthoughs and finally dropped my 100yard laps below 2:00 pace, figured out what the roll is all about and bought some zoomer blue fins because my kick is absolutely horrible!

Thanks again for setting this up and running the show

I certainly got a great deal out of the challenge.

2006 was very much "Run Focused" and I needed something to "Ease" me back into swimming again after just doing the minimum to maintain fitness for a whole year.

I was able to get my pace right back to where it was at the end of the 2005 season when I started this running thing...

Cheers
