ok i have a trek 1000 road bike. its the best one i could afford so i got it and put aero bars on it. while riding in the aero position i slip forward on the seat. i heard from one thread on this site that you can get a seat post that puts you in a more aero position. if anyone could tell me where i could find one and how much they run i would apriciate it.

Look at the ones that say "fast forward" or similar language.

Here's a specific link to one.

Have you tried tweaking your seat position, i.e., moving it forward or back on the rails?

Like yourself, I ride a road bike with clip-ons. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit with your seat height and position. Just make small adjustments and try them out for a while. If you're like me, you'll eventually get it dialed in so you're comfortable.

If Santa pulls through, I will have the Profile Design Fast Forward Carbon on my roadie here after Christmas

Also, if Santa acts right, I will have some clip ons as well

Then, if Grandma acts right, I will have the new Arione Tri seat.

So, I am going to get my roadie set up in the aero position. My intention is to use my regular post and saddle for rides, and my new saddle and new post when I want to be aero. Just a quick loosening of the seatpost collar and swaparoo...
