Interesting. 101.06 miles. Not a HIM. Not a IM. For some it may turn out to be the porridge that is just right.

Or a good build up race before doing a full IM.

Should be a really good race series. I was present at most of the press conference announcing the race series. Look for my picture on the website, since I was the first age group individual to register for the race in Woodlands (and first registrant overall) in the world!

I saw this. Looks like I'll be adding November 11th to my race calendar.

I am interested in doing the race in the Woodlands in November. Looks like they are really laying a foundation for a successful race promotion. Also, by the time they make it to the race in The Woodlands, they will have already done 3 races so they will either have most of the kinks worked out, or will have just quit alltogether!

Being still the newbie I am, I don't know if I'd be ready in time for the Tri One-0-One in Clearlake, Calif. on June 10, '07.  But, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be there in '08.  Our family has a place on the lake up at Clearlake, and it'd be great to race in my own "backyard".

Clearlake, btw, for those unaware is also known as the Bass fishing capitol of the West.  And its not far from the beautiful Napa & Sonoma wine growing areas.

I can't believe you beat me to it - I've been going to post about this all day - sounds fun - I think I will have to put one on my list. A few locals have already signed up for the one in Florida.

Dang! I thought I had my race schedule all planned out for next year and then this comes along.  Now I have to decide between Redman (Iron distance) on Sept 22 or the 1O1 in November.  Or do both.  There's also the Longhorn tri festival (HIM) in Austin Oct 7.  What to do?

I find it interesting that they went with the ITU long course distances.  Smart marketing move to differentiate themselves from the WTC and IMNA races.
