Finally remembered to get on the scale this morning.

148.3 lbs @ 22.something BF%

That stupid BF% varies by 2% on a daily basis on my scale so I usually ignore it.

I committed a few sins this weekend (starting with the donut before dinner on Saturday night and ending with dinner at Friendly's last night on the way home), but the party is over. I now know what it's like to drag all this weight around for 13 miles, and it doesn't feel great, so if I want to succeed at Moose in a few months I gotta do somethin.

Let me ask all of you weightloss and food guru's a question.  I am not looking to lose weight, I actually have the opposite problem when I start putting in the big training weeks.  My question is how do you take in a lot of healthy calories and avoid all the processed junk.  If I just ate fruits and vegetables as snacks, I would die of starvation.  So what are some good, non-processed, somewhat high calorie snacks.  I would really like to cut down on the amount of suger I eat in a day.

NUTS (such as walnuts, almonds, unsalted peanuts). AVOCADOS. Both contain "good fats".

Thought I'd check in ...

All-in-all, I've been doing better. And, believe me, there have been times I've REALLY wanted to dive into some ice cream. However, with the exception of my post-marathon meal, I've been doing fairly well as I really don't want to have to post something in my nutrition log that will entitle me to a rash of sh1t from you peeps!

So, thanks for keeping me honest and on track!!!

I hear those body fat scales are full of sh!t. I would go with a regular old digital scale.

Well the best judge of fitness had a little good news for me. The old belt o meter. I am currently on the last hole and I am looking forward to wearing my summer belt real soon. I know this may sound silly but clothing fit is where it is at for me cause that is an indicator of body change and inches lost. Now that the real training has begun I am hopeful to be in summer belt mode soon.

I dont know about you guys but those weekly LSR do the trick for me. Well, I guess I been eating better too.

The wife read some book on Meat and has been rather repulsed by it for the last month so she has been losing a lot of weight. Might I add she is looking rather good these days...GRRRRRRRR. So I been consuming fewer cows which is a good thing.

OK, this is a family forum....

STay focused eat right and train hard. It is cheaper to lose weight that buy a lighter bike!
