Subject: RE: marathon and half-ironman (or Ironman) I agree, it's more about recovery time. So definitely run that marathon in May. You might even want to push that marathon a bit later so the muscle memory doesn't fade. Maybe later June?. Hell, run an ultra...it'll certainly get you used to being on the go for hours on end!! Just kiddin'. But definitely run a marathon for the experience in long runs, learn how to budget your energy and recovery...especially if you plan on going further to IM after you complete your HIM. |
