Pre-race routine:

Woke up at lousy 3am (2am my time), had some oatmeal, road the bus to the race site. Hung out with Soupy till they called for us to go to our corrals. Thought I would have to hit the porta pots but it never happened.
Event warmup:

Walked the almost mile to the starting line (I was in A2 corral), found trix and fit and we hung around and watched people pee in the bushes for 40 minutes, I finally decided to join them and felt better. Fire works went off for the National Anthem, and to start the race (very cool).

Comments:

Wow, this was like running with Lance Armstrong or some other Celeb at a race. Ran with the Fit and Trix show (aka Wonder Woman and Super girl). we stood around in the corral for 40 minutes while people commented on Trix and Fits costumes, had their pics taken with them, and gave them high fives. Race started in the dark which was cool, we ran a hour before the sun came up and we were almost half way done. of course there was the typical trix and fit whoop whoops and constant chatter, lots of people along the way yelling for super man (trix correcting them that she did in fact have titties) and WonderWoman. When the sun came out, it became obvious that long sleeve velvet supergirl outfit baaaaad, cape, long leg boot covers, and velvet strapless wonderwoman top... baaaad. It was hot! We would dump lots of water on our heads and bodies. I think I took one gel around mile 8 or 9. we walked up the on ramps because the heat was getting to us. But basically the run was filled with high fiving the crowd, laughing at all of the people cheering for the super heroes. What was truly amazing was seeing a lot of the little girls perk up when they would see trix and Fit. It was like running with some role models... The mothers would get the kids attention and point out trix and fit. When we came in to Epcot for the last mile the crowds were huge and everyone was cheering on the super duo. I pretty much ran behind them the whole way and just took in all of the excitment. It was amazing to see the amount of attention they received from the crowd and the runners alike. When we crossed the finish like, they announced the finish of Wonderwoman and Super girl. I finished right after, we walked to get out medals, change our goofy wrist bands and waited for Soupy, and Jess. Of course when we walked out to leave everyone wanted their pics taken with the super duo.
It was a great day....
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, well maybe not well the coon skin cap, I am sure it was hard to lose body heat with that thing on. Other than that, it was too much fun.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited on Soupy with the wonder twins. Then rode bus back to hotel. Went out to some Fish place with Bunnyrunner, fit, trix, Q, Jeff, Jess and ate. Typical loud BT crowd, with lots of laughs...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Coonskin cap

Another half mary where I missed you.  Although - now that I think about it I think I might have seen you with that hat.  I vaguely remember saying to my friend how hot that must be!

I would normally ask if that coon skin cap was real...but knowing you, you shot it right before you came down for the race!

Great job in that heat...

That is funny.  I remember seeing them 2 run by medical tent 1 and thinking they are going to die of heat illness in those things.   But they looked cool.  Didn't see you behind them, but i'm sure you were just soaking it all in as much as checking them out in there tight spandex pants. Innocent
