For those who might be interested--Ultimate Bicycle is offering a free Roadside Repair clinic. The clinics are Tues/Wed/Thu nights this week. Go to their website, http://ultimatebike.com,for details on where the clinics will be held. They do request that you bring a front wheel to practice with.

This would be a great hands on learning experience for beginners and a great refresher for many of us.

Oh... and for the women, Ultimate Pineville is having a women's night "Diva Night" next Monday (the 29th).  My wife (crazytrain) will be at that one.

Hi Everyone,

 Sorry to jump in so late. I live just north of Concord and have been training off and on for a year. I can't do Latta it conflicts with XTERRA Richmond and I have already registered. But I am looking at Cane Creek. It was my first ever last year. Would love to meet up with other beginners and train. It looks like we might have enough interest to do a beginners tri club. All the clubs I looked into last year were doing races and distances too long for me.

I haven't signed up for it yet, but Wendy and I will be doing Cane Creek.  Heard it was a great race.

Check the MAP Thread for a possible training ride on Feb 3rd at 930am. We can do a second lap for anyone who is interested in previewing Latta's course. If you only want to do the Latta course, we can set a meet time for that as well.

Search around in th Gear Review threads, there's been a lot of discussion on trainers lately.  We have a Cyclops Fluid 2 and it works great.  But its around 300.

Looks like its 9:30 next Sunday Feb 4th at the Atheltic Fields across from the aquatic center.  Should be a good SuperBowl warm up so we can eat like pigs at any parties.

I'd love to, but we'll have family in town.  We can sneak away for an hour to do a ride from our house, but won't be able to spend 3 hours away including drive time to get up to Latta.  Sounds great for May though!!!!!

I would love to, but between training for Azalea, a week in FL at the Rottweiler Nationals, then training for White Lake, a week in PA for a Rottweiler regional ... it'll be well into May before I can even try it.
