I've got a local coach who may be willing to set up a couple of sessions to cover over what you need in your TA and how to make the process work.

1. Let me know if you would be interested
2. Weekday lunch, weeknight, or weekend --Which is best?

For me, the TA was the most intimidating part of my first tri since I didn't know what to expect. On the day of the race, I had a friend who has done a bunch of races to help me. Without him, I'd have been nervous as hell. Here's a chance to practice ahead of time and make sure that you have all the right goodies before race day!

I'm in... times 2 with Wendy.

Isn't transition where we get a latte and a scone to warm up after the swim and then a nice smoothie after the bike?

That's where the "bike loves" give you a nice rubdown and talk about your bulging muscles before you junp on the "people mover" which takes you to the next leg oof the race

Wait a minute....transition area...I was told there would be a "full service" transition area..kind of like the gas stations had 25-30 yrs ago.........what happened ? I want a refund. Maybe I was dreaming.

I would like to do something... it would have to be a week night/weekend.

ALSO, I called Ultimate Bicycle yesterday and they said they were preparing to have another round of free maintenance clinics...for me that is a must do before the race. If anyone hears anything else on this, or anyone else's clinic, please advise.

Aren't there strippers in the transition area too?  Should I bring a stack of ones?

Ok... serious MAP transition question.  Is the swim/bike transtion are just outside or do we exit the pool through the locker rooms?  Wondering about drying off if its cold that day.

The TA is just outside the pool.  They open a double door towards the parking lot so you have like 100y to run, max.  Makes for a very fast T1.  No harm in putting a towel down at your spot to dry off if it's chilly.

And there are no strippers at any setup races that I know of.  However, if you want to bring your stack of ones, I'll wear my leopard print speedo.

Yeah. We're making donations so that he WON'T wear the thong. Let me clarify that--he'll wear jammers or board shorts if we donate

Thanks for clarifying....  Although some of the women might donate for the thong...

Actually I think he's begging us to let him wear it.

It's less a dare and more of a threat.  Though I have to admit that it's somewhat of a hollow threat.  MAP is the first race of the season, and I don't want setup to ban me from the events that are really important!

Tentatively, it looks like Sharon can do this on Feb 28th from 6pm to 8pm at the Aquatic Center. I'm waiting on answers to several questions right now and will post the complete information about what will be covered, what you need to bring, etc. Stay tuned...
