Was wondering if anyone out there has tired any of the 1/2 IM training plans that are available on this site. Are recommendations? I have started to use the program that was outlined in the Triathlete's Feb issue . . . but figured there might be something a little better buried deep in this site. Thanks.

I used BT's beginner HIM and beginner full Ironman training schedule with great success.

It got me to where I wanted to be.

I also used the beginner half iron plan here on BT and did my first tri as a half without a problem. Even completed my season with 2 other halfs and I really started from the beer drinking, pizza eating, smoking a pack a day couch!

I would check out the two D3 plans on this site - the HIM plan and Oly to HIM bridge. I used the bridge plan last year, and despite not being as fast as I would have liked (whcih had absolutely nothing to do with the plan btw) I was able to comfortably finish and enjoy the entire day.
