Pre-race routine:

Woke up about 4am, then 5am, then 6am and finally got up for good at 7am. Went to Friendly's for breakfast and had a bagel with jelly, two eggs whites, water and coffee. Chris drove me to race site and dropped me off.
Event warmup:

Streched and hung out inside. There wasn't much room to move around. Mostly get worked myself and got way too nervous.

Comments:

So the marathon, half marathon and 10 K all started together, which is not a good thing for me, seeing I have pacing issues as it is. I went out too hard and then paid for it (but ran a nice first 10K or so). I was also king of disparaged after the half marathon people finished. There were all these people around me for the first thriteen miles then all of a sudden I was alone. I made it through 13 through 20 fine, but then things started to get rough. Say Pam at miles 22-23, but she definately had more in the tank than I did and eventually I couldn't keep up with her. The last two miles were horrible, they just felt way too long. Finsihed in just over 5. I still had a PR by about 5 minutes, but failed to break the 5 hour mark.
What would you do differently?:

PACE PACE PACE.

I'm going to run with a pace group in Atlanta and hopefully that will help prevent a complete meltdown at the end. It doesn't to run 8:30 for the first three miles only to end up with 15 minute miles over the last two. I can hope though that this experience will help with Georgia.
Post race
Warm down:

Finished and pretty much got in the car and headed back home. I searched around for water and found none. I later found out that they had packed all the water and gatorade up -- wish I has known. My legs were shot (and still are) and the 2 hour car ride was not fun.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Pacing issues, and as always weight. Hopefully I'll be a little lighter and a lot smarter for the Georgia ING.

Event comments:

Pretty course, good volunteers, probably wouldn't run the full here again jsut because the course empties out and it gets so lonely.

Oh--and I didn't get an offcial time. My chip fell off and mile 10 and I put it in my pocket and it didn't register at the finish line. Grrrrsss to me for that.
