If anyone is ever up for meeting to cycle up the coast, or swim in La Jolla cove, let me know. I'm training for an Oly in the middle of Oct, so I want to get some 30+ mile rides in before then. I often splash around in the cove (very slowly) early sunday mornings.

I'm attempting to do my first olympic distance race in mid october: the pumpkinman tri in Las Vegas. I've been trying to get out to the cove pretty early on sunday mornings to avoid the crowds that come later in the morning and to get easy parking, usually getting there around 630. It's going to be tougher and tougher when the sun starts rising later. Can't make it this weekend though, out of town. If you're interested for the following weekend, let me know. Happy training!

Hey Steve,
I ride the coast on Sat mornings. We usually leave from the Glider Port. Then head to Del Mar Starbucks to meet with the Tri club's group ride. from there we head to Oceanside and back. Totalling about 50 miles. Sometimes we add another 14 miles when we get to Oceanside. We have also started from scripps ranch and then to the to the coast for a total of 70 miles, we will be adding the 14 miles soon. You are welcome to join us. I will be racing this weekend and won't be back until next Fri. but after that we can hook up.

Lara, I think the TCSD beginner race on the 25th will be perfect for our virtual tri.

Is the TCSD race the ironic man 1/10 ? Do you need to be a member to compete in it?

Will it be the virtual tri? The swimming sounds good, a bit shorter than the 700 planned for the virtual tri.

I'm game if others are.
