there is a huge pile of poo on our front lawn today that i KNOW is not my dog's (he is trained to poop only on the one mulched corner of the backyard)

what is up w/dog owners that they let their dog crap on someone else's lawn and then don't bother to pick it up????????

i'm so mad i might bite someone. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Preaching to the choir here!  I make sure I always take a poop bag with me when I walk my dog.

I've even been accused on occasion that my dog left behind a present.  It never fails when I show them (usually a full) poop bag they back off.  It's your dog, so pick up after him/her!!

That's gross.  We don't get so much dog poo, but some people in our neighborhood think it's ok to dump their ashtray-full of butts on the street just outside their car door.  Like that's not littering?

It's just a matter of common courtesy, imo.  Clean up your yellow bike.

In my case, it's a direct comment on my service to the community for my hard work presiding over the HOA.  But as I've said, 'Payback's a bey-atch, but my friends call me Janice.'

And for the record ... LaughingSunnyLaughing is very hurt by the 'yellow bike' reference. ...Frown

this makes me crazy too. we have a BIG dog w/ BIG poo that sometimes requires two bags....and we still pick it up. it makes grouchy to see wee poops on the sidewalk or in the yard. just pick it up! or carry a soup can on a stick (there is an old fellow in our neighborhood who does that. hee hee).

If you can find out who's doing it (early morning/late night spying?), you can pick it up and fling it at their door.

or set it on their door step in a paper bag, light it, ring, and run.

You can always dump the poop into a nearby storm water inlet and offer the slightly used bag to the accuser

No!  No poop in the storm drain!  It drains to the creek.  Please...  keep your dog's poop out of the creek.

This is so gross, I can't even believe that people would just least poop laying around.  Disgusting.

yeah, i wouldn't do that... yuck. we may have to set up some kind of surveillance to catch the offending mutt. we have our suspicions - there's a mean corgi down the street whose owner lets him go wherever he darn well pleases and another lady who walks a golden mix off leash and he has his run of the 'hood. it just burns me up, because its so disrespectful to other people's property. i don't even let my dog whiz on anyone's lawn, he has to curb it... but then that's me.

Blame the moderators. The poster typed "chit" with an "s" but the word filter converted it to "yellow bike."

People leaving their dog's poo laying around is a big pet peeve of mine. I think it's disgusting and disrespectful. I always take a bag with me and clean it up. The other thing that kills me is people who litter, especially with beer bottles.

I take my dog on two walks a day, and even in a nice suburb, it seems like I always have to dodge poo and broken glass. It makes me mad that some people don't care who their actions affect. But I think it's probably 10% of the people who cause 90% of the problems...

To those of you who are responsible dog owners and clean up after your pets, Thank You!!!

My dog prefers to poop in the middle of sidewalks, so I learned EARLY to pick it up. I pick it up anyway, I just think it's funny that mine won't go in the grass unless it's an accident. I have one of these attached to his leash:

This drives me crazy when I find dog c**p in my yard - and we don't have a dog!! What good is a pooper scooper law if it isn't einforced... I've actually caught people and handed them a bag to pick it up - they look at me like I'm nuts - when I explain the law they still don't get it... actually they literally don't get HOW to pick it up... hello invert bag with hand, squeeze poop up and re-invert bag.... place bag in nearest trash can... Not difficult to do!

I can sooo rant on this topic.

Add me to the peeve list. We have no dog, but every time I mow, I have to navigate around piles of poo.  I wish it came with a return address.

How timely this thread is. Came home and there were 2 turds on the cement walkway of my entry way. The entry way is on a slope and above the driveway, so I'm figuring it was a stray dog or something. There's always turds in the gravel in our front yard by the sidewalk where people walk their dogs. I always kick them into the street. But it annoys me to no end.

i have a nieghbor who owns one of those ever so annoying "peek-a-poo." i have caught this lady in the early morning hours on my way to work "walking" her dog across the street from her own house., so the dog can yellow bike in the grass at the local middle school. if i see it again i am going to confront her and let her know i am writing a letter to the local paper about my lovly nieghbor.
