I'm up in Newtown.

Did one of the Genesis Adventure Oly's last summer @ Lake Nockamixon. Don't know much about the race you mentioned, but Genesis does a terrific job.

I work in Trevose and live in Philly. I'm doing the Lehigh Valley 1/2 Mary, maybe Broad St (it is the following weekend), and the Philly Tri Sprint.

I'd like to do an Oly in September. Is there a Oly Distance for the Quakerman race? Website?

I think they do have an oly.

Go to trifind.com

they are probably the best race calendar out there.

CGI does some great races but this new one is up in poconos a little far but doable (not this year though)

Broad st. is May 6

genesisadventures.com has the quakertown race and they have an oly but the ride is a little long 38 miles I think.

after a debating w/ myself last night i decided to switch and do the oly instead of the half. I really would love to do the half but have 2 toddlers, a semi-patient wife and work don't think i can balance it all to do a good half IM

Hello neighbor!! I live in Southampton as well. I'll send you a pm. I have ridden around Nockamixon and there are some pretty good rollers up there. I will be doing Steelman on Aug 12, that may be a good race for you to do so you can get a feel for the terrain before the HIM. Hopefully see you around town and welcome to BT!!!

will be hitting the course this spring. but have reconsidered the half and don't think I will be able to juggle wife, two toddlers, work and training to do the half without a lot of unnecessary pain on raceday. But am I think I can get the training in for a good oly.

not yet we moved to bucks last year and I've spent the whole winter riding in the garage. FWIW I think there is a central bucks bike club that does some rides out of the Kmart in Warminster.

As I said, I'm up in Newtown, Bucks County, work in NE Philly (I'm a chiropractor, btw).

There are some awesome places to ride up in Bucks that are very convenient to each of the areas mentioned. Obviously, you can head up near Nockamixon where there's some nice rolling hills, but you can also go the back roads route and go out near the Doylestown/Buckingham area and ride through the cornfields of Carversville and other historic areas.

Near me in Newtown we do a lot of the roads through Pineville and New Hope.

One of my favorite routes is along 232 through Wrightstown to New Hope, some decent rollers in there as long as you don't mind the stone trucks. I ride on Sat mornings and would be up for a small BT group ride (when my fitness improves and I can actually make it out to New Hope and back!)

I've done that ride once or twice in the past. there are some good hills on that. Sunday's (maybe not this one cause it's easter) early like 6:30 or 7 works for me. how about you all?

I would be in as well, and I have two others who ride with me. We were considering doing Washington's Crossing to Frenchtown along Rte. 29 one of these weekends if anyone's interested.

A ride up 232 is right in my neck of the woods. Just let me know when and where to meet.

Actually, a good meeting place might be at the intersection of 232 and 413 (it's a 5-point intersection). There's a small, local strip of shops called Anchor Crossing (I think) that has a parking lot to meet. If you're going west on Rt. 413 (make a left off 232N) the shops are just past the intersection, behind the gas station, on the right hand side (across from a small blue "house.")

Just a thought.
