Swim
  • 16m 22s
  • 820 yards
  • 01m / 100 yards
Comments:

Wetsuit may have been positioned too low on body, constricting breathing. Started too fast and had difficulty with O2
What would you do differently?:

Warm up swimming, start behind crowd, pace beginning.
Transition 1
  • 01m 20s
Comments:

Long grass/dirt/gravel run post transition area slowed start.
What would you do differently?:

practice shoes-on-pedal start
Bike
  • 41m 7s
  • 15.53 miles
  • 22.66 mile/hr
Comments:

Was not passed, but passed about 20 riders. 18-22 riders stopped by train crossing. My stop was approx 2 min.
What would you do differently?:

Shoes-on-pedal start
Transition 2
  • 01m 20s
Comments:

Shoes w/ quick laces very tight, and socks took time.
What would you do differently?:

No socks, better racking strategy.
Run
  • 23m 24s
  • 3.36 miles
  • 06m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

Should have pushed harder on kick
What would you do differently?:

Push harder.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around park, with some stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim: breathing and familiarity with group O/W start.
Run: failed to push harder.

Event comments:

Some logistical issues (traffic, awareness, train) and course complexity.

Nice run!!! You gotta hate the train. And that run course was confusing. The only thing that kept me on course was someone behind me shouting that we needed to turn right instead of left in the transition area. Did the wetsuit protect you from the pond slime? I was shaking it off my fingers approaching the dock.
