Run
Comments: Went well. I wanted to take the first run nice and easy as I tend to burn out early. What would you do differently?: I could have ran a little faster. I think I may have been a wee bit too conservative. Transition 1
Comments: No Transition Times, so my times for the Bike and Second Run include Transition times. Felt like my transition was a little slow, but I'm not really sure. Bike
Comments: My bike time and pace were faster than what was recorded due to the issue of including transition times in the bike split. My pace (according to the bike computer) was more like 18 mph. What would you do differently?: I could probably have pushed harder in the midle section of the bike, but once again I was being conservative. Transition 2
Comments: Once again, no transition time. Run
Comments: As with the bike, my second run was faster than the recroded time as it includes both the run and the tansition. Overall though was a pretty good run to finish the race. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, did the recovery drink thing and then packed up the bike & gear. What limited your ability to perform faster: No swim. The swim is my best event and without it I'm just a little but off. Last updated: 2007-02-28 12:00 AM

Got up around 5:30 a.m. had a bagel with peanutbutter and a banana and set off for Wrentham, MA (about a 90 minute drive for me).
Arrived about 7:30. Stood in line for a long time for the port-o-potty and then did some pre-race stretching.
