usual magic pancakes
Event warmup:

jogged round transition to avoid - second wind syndrome
Swim
  • 07m 52s
  • 400 meters
  • 01m 58s / 100 meters
Comments:

Pushed off and goggles slipped down. So had to go steady on push off and avoided tumble turns.
What would you do differently?:

Arrange straps better over hair to get tighter fit.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

I faffed about putting a top on that I didn't need cos it wasn't as cold as I thought. I faffed a bit generally actually - not as slick as my usual transitions!
What would you do differently?:

Abandon top.
Bike
  • 38m 21s
  • 12 miles
  • 18.77 mile/hr
Comments:

Went well on the bike I think. Always feel like I could of gone harder on the bike - but thats usually when I've finished!! :)
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

No Cramp! Woo hoo!
Although I still put trainers on the same way cos I forgot to do it differently
Run
  • 21m 46s
  • 3 miles
  • 07m 16s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt good on the run, strong and like I was moving a bit faster than normal. Very pleased with run time!
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched out

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Think its the best relative position I've managed in a tri.
Very happy with my run.
I'd like to try to go for it a bit more on the bike.
Overall 251/502 male and female

Event comments:

Really like the Pacesetter and One Step Beyond events. They are well ahead of the game when it comes to organising!

Hi, Clare!
I was also in the Sprint at Southwell. Was that your first time there?
I am trying to get the race report sorted but am struggling with the posting.
It is a great start of the season. And I do agree with you, Pacesetters events are really well organised. Plus they have a relaxed feel to them.
I might see you at Wakefield?
