Subject: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: BT Aid Station/Booth @ Mooseman

We're looking for some volunteers to help Keith Jordan and his staff out at the Mooseman triathlon.

Aid Station:
Specifically we need some help to man the BT aid station.  This was a lot of fun at Lonestar and the time goes fast - no better way to root for other BT'ers and to cheer everyone on.  We will provide BT T-Shirts and lunch will be provided by Endorfun...plus a little something-something extra.

SATURDAY, JUNE 27am to Noon  (expo is 8am to 6pm)

*We need 10 people each day for continuous coverage.  The early time is for some setup, etc.

If you will be available and willing to help for all or part of the time, please indicate the time available.  Your help will be greatly appreciated by Keith Jordan and us.

I can't wait to see everyone!  My family and Mike's family plus Dexter will be staying on the grounds in the private general bunkhouse's.

My first race is in CT on the 3rd..... I'd love to help on the second but i'm not sure how wise that is... if you guys really need help and can talk me into it I'd be more then hapy to come up and help out... it's just the ride that would kill me.

Ps

I'm a ski patroler and a firefighter paramedic so i know tho old medical stuff.

I'm racing on Saturday, and have a commitment to volunteer with my tri club on Sunday.  But I will be sure to swing by the booth and say hello!  I'm looking forward to meeting everybody.

I can help part of the time Sunday as I'm racing Saturday. I need to check with hubby and see when Sox game is to figure it out when and probably won't know exactly for a couple of weeks.

Where will the aid station be Sunday? Run or Bike? Do you know what part of the course?

Last year most of us that stayed for the HIM volunteered and did body marking before the HIM..will volunteering for aid station allow us still do help with body marking?

I am driving up saturday morning and would be happy to help in the later part of the morning (after 9 or so). However, that is assuming that I will be able to get to the aid station after the race has started, which might be tricky.

Allright!  We're shaping up.

summer2005 and kathyG, I will be checking on where our aid station may be located at specifically and hopefully get some maps very soon.

Ontherun-Aid station on Saturday would be perfect!
kathyG-You can come whenever the bodymarking is done, no hurry.  Usually we only need 2-4 people from 7-8:30am to do some setup first.
huskyboy and pjostack, look forward to seeing you and thanks so far everyone.

An update.  We will be 2 miles out North from the transition area on West Shore Rd but before the Beachwood Rd turnaround.

On Saturday, the course is 1 loop - we will catch runners 2x.
On Sunday, the run course is 2 loops so we will catch runners 4x.  We will also be catching bikers on the last lap.  So it will be very busy that day!

pjostack, kathyG, Celeb ithil...I just talked to Audra from Endorfun.  We will only be focusing on the aid station for Saturday.  It looks like we can do this easily with only a few more people.  Sunday will be a big day and I don't think we can get enough people for that day and I definitely don't want to leave them scrambling for help the week of.

If you three still want to help in anyway, you can contact [email protected].  ALTHOUGH, if any of you are good talkers and wouldn't mind being in front of a camera, I will be doing video race coverage the entire day Sunday and could use a personality.

Saturday is a go and we are focusing on that day.  Music, covered tent, etc...4-5 more people would be awesome.

Almost time!  I've been making some signs for the aid-station to help point people towards the water or gatorade better, Mikes working on the music too.  Will have a covered tent this time and T-shirts and lunch.

I just talked to Lily of Endorfun, the course person.  The BT aid station will be about 2miles North of the transition area on West Shore Rd.

West Shore Road will remain open during the race, we are on the main road about midway between the transition and Beachwood Road, you can be dropped off or walk up from transition if you are already parked.  SEE MAP BELOW

If most of you can come be at the station by 8am on Saturday, that would be great.  Mike and me will be there earlier to setup.  After 8:30am, they say the roads will be slow.

I can always have someone drive you up to the station too from transition.

You can reach my cell at 330-703-9654 for anything on the race weekend.  Mike and I thank you immensely for helping on this aid station.

Sounds great Ron - I'll be there by 8. I'm going to ride my bike from where I'm staying, so getting there shouldn't be a problem.

Hey,

My rideshare fell through, and I will not be able to make it on time for Saturday (sounds like it will be hard to access anyway). Have a great time!

Ron,

TriGirl069 (Stacey) and I will be there between 8-9am.  Will you have Moose Antlers and Cow Bells at the aid station, or should we pick them up at the Inspiration Station b4 we head out?

Thanx

Dave

Sure, that would be great.  Depending on the setup there, I just may need an extra.

Ron,  I know you're on the road as I write this, but maybe you'll check in before tomorrow morning.  It looks like me and my husband will be up there earlier than I first thought.  We're gonna try to be at the water stop by 8.  It will depend on how long it takes to get there I guess.
