I had a great run on the route this morning. It was actually cool when I took off my t-shirt to start the run. The forecast for Sunday suggests that it may be in the 60's at race start.

Main thing I wanted to report is that the race finish arch has been put up and it is down by the lake right where the course map shows it to be. The road marking further up by the boat ramp is not for us.

I hope to meet you all on Sunday! Have a great race!

I think we need to set up a time for all of us to meet.  Either at the expo or at the transition while dropping off the bikes.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey everyone.  I just wanted to drop in and say "Good Luck this weekend".  I will be volunteering and am assigned to the group helping people coming out of the water.

So Taper well.  Hydrate properly.  And Kick Butt on Raceday!

CubeFarmGopher, Thanks for volunteering!

Ladies, I was thinking about a time/place where all of us can meet up.  Body marking starts at 5:15am, and they start remembrances and other stuff at 6:15am.  How about 6 am in the transition area where the swim exit is?  I saw a post from someone that said there is a balloon arch is up at the swim exit.  Does that work for everyone?

Mine had the subject:

"Final Confirmation of Entry - Ryka Iron Girl Columbia Women's Triathlon"

Could it have ended up with your spam/junk?

I don't think it's anything to worry about.... if your name appears on the website under the list of entrants and you've gotten the other emails. My friend has not rec'd hers either, but I got mine. There will be a list of all entrants and their bib numbers posted at the registration area... you'll be fine!!

Getting VERY excited!!! See you all on Sunday!!

I didn't receive an email with my bib number either. Strange. I'm getting really excited and nervous too . . . especially since it appears I'm the only one on this thread that it is an absolute triathlon virgin!! I can't wait until the 1st one is behind me. Good luck to you all!

Great! Makes me feel better! What wave are you in? Do you live in Annapolis? I lived there for about 10 years. Just moved but still have a place there.

*SO* excited to see so many first timers! You gals will be so glad you picked an all-women's for your induction to this addiction. You'll have an awesome time and feel GREAT! Welcome to the sport and I look forward to seeing some BTers this weekend at the race - or, it looks like in the case of a couple of our BT men on here, volunteering! Enjoy the last couple of days before the fitness fun!!! OOO

Yes, yes I'm getting nervous! I haven't slept that well all week. I'm not really worried about the bike or run, just the swim really -- I'm not a fan of the OWS -- and the transitions. I'm going to pick up my race packet today. By the way -- my name is Kelly.

I'm Carolyn... wow, we have a lot in common... I am only worried about the swim too... I'm all set on the bike and run... although I have had several very good swims recently, it's not typically "my thing"... I'm coming at this from a running background. My restless night last night was filled with visions of the transitions... I could never get it just right... banking on it just being pre-race jitters. I'm feeling so strong and fit... better than I have ever felt! I'm planning on having a great race!

I didn't get the confirmation e-mail either. Not to worried about it because I see my name on the list of entrants. I'm in wave 6 for the swim. Love the all girls races and my first tri was last year at Danskin.  That's one reason I'm doing this race.  Really didn't want to go all the way to NJ again for a race.  Glad they have an all womens race closer!!  Can't wait to see all the BT'ers on Sun morning.  Not to sure when I'm getting to the expo because I can't check in to the hotel till after 3.

I'm feeling great too! I'm in better shape than I've ever been. I've always worked out, but in a gym. I only started biking, swimming and running this past March. I am really pumped about the race and to meet everyone. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend - only in the upper 70s on Sunday!
