Congratulations to everyone....it was a blast wasn't it? I finished sub 3 hours which was my goal.....I'm a bit sore today but otherwise feel good.

My next race is a Tri relay with my husband...Big Lick on September 22nd.

I was waiting to see how I did in this one before signing up for another one. Now I think I may be hooked!

I was considering the General Smallwood Sprint on Sept. 23 and maybe the Osprey on Oct. 6. I have two people I know doing the Smallwood one, so I think that's what I'll do next. Who knows, maybe I'll do both! I'd like to try a Sprint triathlon with little or no hills to see how I do!

Even though I missed meeting a lot of you in person, it's been great learning about all of you through your training logs and blogs. I hope we can all continue to inspire each other! We're Iron Girls!

Sounds intriguing. Has anyone done this one and have info on the bike and run courses? Is a wetsuit necessary?

Somehow I missed this thread, not sure how?!?!? Anyway, congrats to all of you! It was such a fabulous race, I loved every minute of it. Both Susan and I were disappointed that we didn't get to meet up with you all...maybe next time.

For Osprey they do recommend a wetsuit...

Here's a link for the Smallwood Sprint - http://www.setupevents.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=event_detail&eventID=675

There's also an Olympic distance race the day before the Sprint. They give an award if you do both. I don't think I'm that crazy yet!

Brenda (crabsrule) has done Osprey. Here's a link to the website - http://www.mdcoastalbays.org/osprey/info.php

Hi Ladies -- I was on the Iron Girl website and read that our results and photos are available, but when I clicked on "photos" it just took me to the page asking me for my email, bib number name, etc and said they would contact me when they are available for viewing. Has anyone seen their pix? Kelly

I've done the signup to be notified when the pictures are ready, but I haven't heard anything yet. Results have been up since Sunday evening .

My next race is a Danskin in Sandy Hook NJ (9/16) - it's flat, flat, flat - woohooo. And, after making it through Columbia I'd better crush my time from last year Wink I'm also planning to do the Osprey 10/6, I did it last year and wore a wetsuit. There were several people that did the race without one, but I thought the water was pretty darn cold. It's also a nice flat course, although the wind can be an issue on the bike since it right on the Coastal Bays.

If you want to do a fall tri and not sink a bunch of money in a wetsuit - check ebay. I got mine there - it wasn't super cheap, but much better than buying new. Also Laurie (klgray) bought her trisuit from someone on this site. I don't know where she found it, but you could PM her to get the details. Also check in w/ Reji (mswrites) she got some sort of super deal on a new suit through BT this spring.

Hope every one is dong great post race. I'm so surprised I'm not sore!!!!

If I do another it will be the General Smallwood. If I do it I'll rent a wetsuit.
