Swim
Comments: Swim wasn't bad. I just couldn't find anyone to draft off of, which was frustrating, its some much easier when you have someone to follow ( I have navigation issues at times). Transition 1
Comments: Little bit of a run from the swim to T1 (on the pavement with bare feet -- although I think that time is part of my swim time). Bike
Comments: I need to learn to love the hills (or just ride flat courses). What would you do differently?: Ride more hills. Transition 2
Comments: Feet were a little cold from the ride, despite this I made the decision to run without socks. Run
Comments: This is my fastest run in an olympic distance (my previous best was a 1:02 at Cranberry last year). So while the bike kicked my butt, its nice to see some improvement in the run (especially after such a tough biek course). What would you do differently?: Keep running. All the recent running appears to have paid off and I'd liek to continue to make parogress. Post race
Warm down: Got some water, walked around, chatted. What limited your ability to perform faster: (1) The bike -- no surprise here. My next two races have flat courses, but still I need to keep working the hills. (2) The weight (not that this isn't a re-occuring issue). I'm working on it and have been better the last few weeks. (3) Training time. I still suffering from my mediocre training in April/May Last updated: 2007-04-29 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:45 a.m. Finished packing up the car. Made a bagel with peanut butter and hopped in the car.
Set up transition, stretched and played in the water a little. Felt bad for all the girl scouts camping out at the race site waking up to hundreds of very chipper and crazy triathletes.
