Subject: Lifetime Fitness - My 15 minutes of fame

Back in January, a writer posted a thread in the forums asking for triathlete stories.  I responded to the thread and was selected for the story.  The article appeared in the July issue of Lifetime Fitness' magazine "Experience Life".  The July issue focuses on Triathlon because the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon is this month.  A link to the Success Story is here

I also posted the article in my blog (with pictures).

So, I'm famous for a few minutes... Cool

Really cool, Tommy. You really look a lot different than your "before picture". Congrats on the weight loss. I would have never have known.

BTW, Are you really doing Redman Full this year?

-David

PS.  I want both yours and Aaron's autographs!

My wife had left the issue on the bed.  I was flipping through it and had one of those "Hey, I know that guy!" moments.  Very cool.

Sure.  And I want your's after you kick butt in Kona.  That way I'll be able to say "I knew him when...."

When I did the interview I did plan to race in the Redman.  But, an injury early in the year made me change my mind.  I didn't think I could be ready by September.  So, I'm doing Tri 101 in November instead.

In that picture, I'm somewhat out of shape.  In the first draft of the article, the author was a bit dramatic.  After reading it, you would have thought I was about to drop dead.  I asked them to re-write it and not be so dramatic.

Awesome article. Truly and inspiration to those of us who have yet to run a tri and to those who still have not yet realized that they will be hooked to tri's once they take that step you took. Keep up the good work. Now I have to go kick my @ss and get ready for my Oly.

I was wondering who you were (online). It's a great article, and good job not only getting a metion for BT, but getting a picture in the full BT kit!

Awesome article!

That's cool that they interviewed your coach as well.

Nice write up!
