Okay, okay ... I know that I should have started on this sooner but I have been just a little bit distracted (see avatar).  Looking to nail down housing accomodations for IMFL.

Where is the start/finish line for the race? Is it the same as Gulf Coast (in front of the Boardwalk)?

It starts/finishes at the Boardwalk Beach Resort.

I haven't booked housing yet either, but I was looking at options over the weekend, and there's no shortage of accommodations available.

Boardwalk Beach is probably the best place to stay since it's the host hotel and the race venue is right outside the front door.  It's probably already full though- it fills up fast.  I stayed at Gulf Crest Condos and they were very nice- saw a lot of other athletes staying there as well.  Gulf Crest is a 1/2 mile walk to the start/finish.  It's close enough that you don't have to drive anywhere for race festivities.  The run course goes right by the condo too.   I liked staying here because it's far enough away to take a break from all the IM craziness and crowds but close enough that you can walk to the athlete's dinner, registration, Gatorade swims, start, etc.

runnergirl,

Are the Gulf Crest Condos the ones "on the corner" as you turn right on the run course and to the left if you are facing the Boardwark Beach Resort? (brown in color)

Thanks,
Tony

I wasn't sure until tonight if I would be doing IMFL, but I"M IN !!!!

I need to find some housing arrangements close to race venue.

I'd be interested in renting a room, if anyone has anything available (I will be there by myself).

From what I remember, you leave T2 and make a right onto Thomas Drive.  About a 1/2 mile into the run you make a short right and then a left on the run course and Gulf crest condos are there.  If you ran straight and didn't make that left on the run course you'd be in the condo parking lot.  So yes- if you were facing the Boardwalk beach gulf Crest would be to the left of that.  I hope that answers your question.
