Pre-race routine:

4 hours of watching my daugter riding the ride... boy she had fun..
Event warmup:

getting in to the wet suit... and a quick swim.

ok my heart was racing for the last 30 min before the race I got in to my heat suit and was soo pumped...

starting in the third wave was cool. I passed a lot of people...

On go I walk out and got to swimming nice and slow. easy long strokes.. when i looked around for sighting i would make sure i said good job to everyone i could. breathing was every 5 stroke. GREAT SWIM

for some reason everytime i ride this course it always rains.. and man did it come down. I felt the lack of sleep catching up with me here. the hills took thier toll on my body that is for sure but betwwen my glasses fogging up and riding with out them getting pelted with the rain. i felt good..

oh ya.. when i was racing i just kept looking at my bike saying wow how nicely the water beeds up on my bike with that nice wax.

rain rain rain... it was wet... but it was a great run.. i started with a little shuffle then walk.. and by the time i was done i was geting in some good strides.. great run

Also took my little one back and ran with her though the finish line...

I agree more details please!!

Bring a small tupperware type container with a lid to keep run stuff in it and open it when you come into T2 dry socks and running shoes!

Nice job..way to hang tough in nasty weather.
