We're entertaining tonight (BBQ) and all I've got is the usual fare for drinks (beer, coolers, wine, water).  What's your favourite summertime drinks so that I can serve something different next time?

This year my summer drink is Perpetuem.  What?  That's not what you meant?  Okay...   I'll second the mention of mojito above.  Great drink for summer and when entertaining people love that there is some process to it, rather than just pouring out of bottles.

Hey, when you get bored with beer, the solution isn't to give up on beer, it's to try DIFFERENT beer.

Pacifico and lime! My favorite summer drink.

my specialty is fresh mango margaritas. although i have found it easier to go with frozen mango chunks - less messy and less time consuming.

frozen mango
tequila
triple sec
fresh lime juice
3-5 ice cubes
blender
YUM!

the consistency is more like a jamba juice type smoothie versus your typical ice-fest frozen margarita that any restaurant will give you. and all fresh ingredients = pure yumminess. the best part is that you don't taste any alcohol and these puppies creep up on you. at least mine do. haha!!

second to that - sangria and white wine

another party alternative - watermelon filled w vodka. soooo yummy.
