So I'm thinking I'm losing my mind

With my "A" race 2 weeks from this weekend, no completed police report for the insurance to do anything to replace my bike.  It probably wont be done for another 2 weeks or so, something about the supervisor having to approve it, so no bike.  I am thinking about scrapping my tri plan, continuing to work on swimming when I can (road rash) and start training for the Detroit Free Press 1/2 Mary.  The race is 12 weeks out, on my B-day.   I have never raced anything over 4miles.  I am pretty sure I can finish, how fast i'll be, does it really matter?

But I am considering doing a HIM next year, so this would be good experience right?

Have I lost my mind?
