OK - I have a colonoscopy tomorrow afternoon (The reward for growing older I guess ) -- I have to start drinking that 4 liters of poison this afternoon, and can not have anything to eat between now and the procedure - And, I figure with the sedation, I probably won't be eating too much tomorrow afternoon and evening -- I'm scheduled to do a 5K Saturday morning -- My question:  What advice do you have to keep me hydrated and properly fueled for the 5K?

While many can resume most activities the day after a colonoscopy,  but you need to talk to your Dr, especially w/yours being scheduled later in the day

I know that after the ones that I have had, I wouldn't be able to run a 5k the next day

Thanks for the feedback - I asked my doc yesterday, and he said running would be fine since the procedure was normal and they didn't have to do any biopsies on big polyps and such - I'm not sure if the anesthesia helped or hindered - I was groggy, but didn't feel any pain -- Did my best  5K yet @ 25:22 though, and feel pretty good now -- Hopefully it was just a couple of days of hindrance and I can get back into my normal training routine...
