Subject: swim coaching in SoCal?
hi all,
I have a question maybe somebody has an answer to: I just finished my first spring tri and all went fantastically, except for my enjoyment of the swimming. I feel like I have no idea what I am doing in terms of swimming- and think it's probably because I don't! Would this be a good time to find somebody to give me some lessons or should I just keep swimming laps and figuring it out for a while first? I hope to do more tris in the the future so I'd like to increase the swim ability!

My DH signed up to take swimming lessons at the local community college. He has seen a huge improvement in his ability to swim and it doesn't cost that much.

Do not fret! Swimming takes time, but it does get easier. My suggestion is to look up your local Masters group and either do some swims with them or check into any clinics they may offer. Definitely find someone though to evaluate your stroke and guide you towards good form. Good form = further distance with less effort. Best of luck!

Join a masters swimming program in your area. Working out with others and doing drills helps alot.
