Anyone signing up for the Nantasket Beach Sprint Tri on September 30th or the Wrentham Halloween Duathlon (3 mile run, 11 mile bike, 2 mile run)?

Come on, you know you want to.

I actually did the one in April which I think is the same course.  From what I hear, people do dress up so that should be pretty cool.

I might do the Nantasket Tri.

Is it me, or does $80 seem ridiculously high for a sprint????

I think that's ridiculously high. I don't know if I'd pay that for an Olympic - it had better be a damn good course with my favorite on-course drinks and gels. And a serious after race spread with free alcohol.

I'm doing Nantasket...after a summer in Europe and South Florida (a whole other country as well)...so lacking on tri.s and trying...tryingto train...definitely doing Nantasket and would be great if I can get in gear to do 5 Star Sprint at Douglas State Forest next weekend and/or Duxbury Tri the following week.

$80 is high for Nantasket (Duxbury is of course not far behind--charge a premium no matter what you do in their zip code :-) ) but I'm justifying it because its a major charity fundraising attempt for cancer.

I'm trying to decide if I can manage to get two wetsuits on for Nantasket. I swam there last week sans-wetsuit-holy molly was it cold! We're in for it swimming there that late in the season!
