Pre-race routine:

Got up about 4:30 and ate some peanut butter toast and drank a vitamin water and a bottle of water. Met my firend downstairs and we headed over to our corral.

Comments:

Pretty good for my first long endurance event. To this point, I've only done sprint Tri's and 5K's. 1:45 was my stretch goal, with a sub 2:00 run being my realistic goal. I came in right between them.

Even though I run in Phoenix, this was damn hot.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. I probably need to work on my pace on my longer runs, rather than just doing the distance.

Way to go, sport, on your first 1/2 marathon, and in the heat, no less!!! That is a pace you can be proud off!!!
