2.5 weeks to go!

jamjam and I are hosting a pre-race dinner again this year at our home on Saturday, Sept. 22. We're in Fairport which is about a 30 minute drive from the race site. We'll be serving whole wheat pasta, chicken breasts, salad and Gatorade Endurance.

If you're doing the race, or even just in the area, we'd love to have you. Bring your family, come hang with some BT'ers and end the season on a high note. Just give us a heads up with how many people you expect to bring and if you have any specific dietary requirements.

I promise to put the chicken on the grill at a reasonable hour this year. Tongue out

Hey Mike! What kind of schedule is in place for the evening? I'm not sure what time I'll be getting in up there, but I'd love to hang out with some BT'ers

Does anyone know where I can find an elevation profile for the bike and run? Coming up from Long Island, Canandaigua's definition of "flat" might be a little different than mine.

Click the link above on marmadaddys 2nd post, it shows the total climb.  The run I don't know the elevation, but I know the area and it is fairly flat.

Matt, I figure people will start to show up at 4, we'll start to eat at 5-5:30 or so. I expect people will be here until 8, but there's no set end time.

The bike course isn't too hard. The first 6 miles is climbing with one hill that makes you work. After that it's pretty much rolling. The nice part is the 1.5 mile downhill followed by flat ground at the end. The course sets you up nicely to run off the bike.

The run course is flat. Completely, utterly flat.

ditto about the run ( in case you don't believe our version of "flat"). The biggest hill on the run course is a little footbridge to go over a stream

Hey Marmadaddy, very nice of you and jamjam to have everybody over. I wish I could make it, but we will be visiting with my kid over at RIT.

Really looking forward to a great race, and it looks like the weather will be good, too. I remembered to put my camera in my transition bag, so hopefully I will remember to take some pictures.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Anthony
