Comments:

Great job, tried a new way to put my zipper up so it did not bother me..worked great. Tried to catch feet but nobody let me...Freaking water was cold, My feet were sore by the end.
What would you do differently?:

Swim faster! Get better!

Comments:

Got on the bike and my heart rate was like crazy legs! Just not coming down...does not help that you start up hill right away. DId well to try and just stay going. I put socks on for the first time for some reason? Not sure why but my feet went numb and tingly. Won't do that again Got to the single track and passed everybody that passed meon the up hill...my coach rocks!
What would you do differently?:

I definetly need to work on my hills. Maybe hit the gym..in the words of norman ....I HAVE NO POWER!!!....
Transition 2

Comments:

Man, i was flying. Hard run in. THrew everything on to my bag. Just trying to make up time.
What would you do differently?:

Elastic laces.
Run
  • 30m 36s
  • 5 kms
  • 06m 07s  min/km
Comments:

My legs wer like lead. Started up the hill after HAZ told me that the doc was 5 min ahead. My feet were tingling from blood flow actually being alowed back there. THe floating bridge is not the best to pass people on as it takes allof your momentem away when you push. I could not get them going at all, I had to walk up the rock faces and could not get running...Finally got to the top of the big hill and was like hey I can run again. So I pushed it as much as I could..but that was not good enough. GOt a rock in my shoe and HOWLED at the HOWLING tree. Not sure why people looked at me when they came around it?
What would you do differently?:

BRICKS BRICKS AND MORE BRICKS...doing none is bad.
Post race
Warm down:

Crossed the line and seen the DOC smiling. She was great. Got some pictures and laughed alot. Ate a burger and lost the doc. Could not find her. Head out to chat with HAZMASTER! Then looked for Dep and could not find him or the doc. Had to leave a note on the Docs car..poor doc.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The extra 20lbs that have mysteriously came back!
Training sporatically...3 weeks for a sprint 6 weeks for a half..gotta get consistant!

Event comments:

Love the race.
FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER FINISHED IN THE TOP 3 IN AG!!!
The DOC won again but only by a margin..next year I am taking that starbuck cup!!!

Funnily enough, this was slower than last year and I placed this year? Weaker field I guess this year in my ag.

Awesome effort Dan.  You guys were fun to watch race the day away, it was a lot of fun, sorry for the screw up on the run direction, I get easily excited!  Nice podium finish!  You rock, did doc tell you about the $200 running jacket you missed as a door prize!?!?  It was a great looking prize.  Look forward to meeting up with oyu again!

Are you really serious on that one HAZ? 200 dollar race jacket? was it lined in gold?

What did I really miss out on...a water bottle!

Thanks everyone. Great to meet you Haz! See you in 10!

Great race Dan!  Good to see you again out there.

You really did miss out on a jacket as a door prize, although I think it was worth something closer to $8956.87, Haz was just trying not to let you feel too bad about missing it.

I was stuck on that freaking corner forever or I would have been there for the finish.

Way to place!
