Should be a good race... i hear the water's down and beach looks good. I just hope there are more aid stations on the oly run.

I'll be doing the sprint too....shin splints acting up so I'll probably be walking part of the run.

You'll know me by my blue trisuit, beet red face and Boston Red Sox cap.

I'm doing to OLY. I'm assuming that we can't use a wetsuit for this race? Please excuse my ignorance as I'm new to the sport.

Gracias.

According to the TexasMan website, wetsuits are NOT allowed.

Gina and I are going to try to make it out to cheer y'all on.  It's going to suck so bad being out there and not racing!

I second the comment about the Oly run.  If it's going to be the same run as Disco - well, Hell.  The least they could do is put the water station between the park gate and the turn so we could hit it twice.  Anyone know if Tom (RD) reads BT?  Can someone make this suggestion to him?

I will be there for the Olympic. I also just sent Tom an e-mail recommending they put an aid station 1/2 mile before the turn-around rather than at the turn-around.

I may seem him tonight during my swim. I'm a DA member and he's usually out there on deck. I know this week is pretty hectic for him... he's been really apologetic for how the Disco was run, and I'm sure he's losing sleep trying to make this one better. I'll post back if I hear something.

I think most everyone realizes that there was alot that was out of his control for Disco.  Just trying to make some suggestions for him, as DA does always put on a good show.  Other than that Awful mix they were handing out on the run course, about the only thing in his control that I heard anyone talking about was that aid station at the turn around.  If they make that one change it would go a long way.  I expect they had already planned on that change anyway.

Oh... I totally agree about needing another aid station once we got out on the highway/main road (don't know the name).  That was brutal, especially because it was so hot and humid. I remember thinking that "this must be what it's like during Kona when you're just running down the side of the road." I've been contemplating even carrying a water bottle with me just in case.

It will be a run-time decision, but I will have a water bottle at the ready.  Can't afford to get caught exposed out there again.

If you can trust a DFW weatherman (or girl) it's supposed to be warm but less humid.  If it happens that way, it'll go a long way towards a better run.

I'll be the one struggling to the finish in a Fit2Train tri suit.

I feel like I may have regressed in my training in the last month.
