1. I'm bad at paying off my debt to the State of California.

2. I'm bad at mailing things in that will give me money (including things to the State of California!)

3. I'm bad at keeping my bathroom free of stinky athletic clothing draped on every available surface (including the floor).

Aw Chrissy--you are NOT bad at 1. OR 2.!!! (Nice try, though!) And No. 3--you seem to have really good relationships where it matters ... that boy stuff, I think it's weird for everyone. Boys R weird!

1. Being patient with people

2. Finances - I'd rather spend money than save money.  Too bad I need to pay off things I have already bought, so I need to focus on doing that.

3. Cleaning - I hate doing laundry and dishes.  Again, it needs to be done, so I need to be more proactive about that.  If I did it more, it wouldn't be so horrible.

1) I'll echo that finances thing. I actually have a debt burn-down plan. It's long term, but it'll work. It all starts in January, when the alimony cuts off.

2) Swimming. I need the work. First step will be to join a club that has a pool I can use at pretty much any hour, rather than relying on county pools.

3) Uh... Working on number 3.

1. Expanding my dinner recipe repetoir. I have about 10 things I rotate...no wonder my family hates dinner. It's always the same thing! OTOH...if they weren't so picky I'd enjoy it more.

2. Keeping up with laundry. I'm great at washing it and drying it, but it inevitably sits in the dryer, hence becoming a wrinkled mess. And since it's in the pre-nup that I don't iron, I should stay on top of it. (Or better yet...make hubby do it.)

3. Finances...I just need to keep things balanced and plan better.

4. And I'd also have to say, keeping in touch with friends and family. I went out with the girls last weekend and I hadn't seen ANY of them since JANUARY! Shame on me! (But in my defense, it's been a bad year considering how sick my Dad was.)

Laundry

Paying Bills

Cleaning House

All things my wife does, and to be fair, I should too.  By not good at, I am really saying I don't do because I don't get the whole whites and darks, cold or warm, perm press or regular thing.  I havent taken the time to learn.  Maybe I should.

My wife thanks you CoJ!

1. I'll try not to eat out as much.
2. I'll try to improve my swimming before next season starts.
3. I'll try harder to get my wife to move to Chicago.

Oh and boys may be weird but girls have cooties.

Saving money (hard when you do tri's )

Being more confident as I interview for jobs (after being fired and looking... confidence took a dive)

Relaxing... I mean relaxing...not trying to relax... actually reading a book from cover to cover (not snippets) taking a nap not worrying about piddly stuff...

1. Finances finances finances. I'm laying the smack down though and now I have a budget that I'm sticking to, I'm brown bagging it to school every day (sometimes this means lunch and dinner) and I'm learning to just say "no, too expensive" to some social opportunities.

2. Patience. In this arena, I'm trying to do small things that might not show me huge results immediately but will benefit me in the long run (Roth IRA--see #1, yoga, etc.)

3. Taking more social risks. I'll leave it at that for the time being.

i never sort by color - most things are color fast anyway - if they're not, you find out when the whole load comes out peuce or pink...'

my three things:

patience

attention span (i find myself thinking of a response sometimes when someone else is talking to me)

consistency in some aspects of my personal relationships

My three things:

1) Cooking...I hate cooking. I don't have the patience for it. I am just as happy eating carrots with hummus then something that required turning the oven on.

2) Running...its my kryptanite

3) Not be soooo social. Actually spending a night at my house instead of the gym right to downtown.

1.  Swimming... increased time in the water helps, working with my coach on a regular basis would help more.

2.  Ditto for me on the keeping in touch with friends/family thing, particularly those that don't have email.  I need to make more of an effort to call or actually drop a note in the U.S. mail.  Imagine that.

3.  Organizing (and subsequently throwing away) the mountains of "stuff" that the kids bring home from school. I am definitely working on this as I have a new system this year to which I'm trying to stick.  My favorite part is that I now put up art projects for a month (in the "art gallery", aka the garage), then take the kids' pictures in front of the artwork at the end of the month which makes me feel free to less guilty about tossing 'em.  Baby steps...
