Pre-race routine:

Egg sandwich. coffee, water, long drive. Set up transition.....head to water with many bathroom breaks...a little late no time for warm up swim. Air is chilly

Tried to concentrate on long smooth, strokes and pull. Kept taking in water in both nose and mouth. Difficult time sighting. Kept getting off course.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure really.....Swim more.

Did exactly as Dan said. Let my body relax and recover first mile. Picked it up 2-4 and really tried to push on fifth mile. No walking except slowing during aid stations. I actually passed people on hte run that is a first. Best 10k time in Olympic distance. Happy with that. Still want to be faster.


What would you do differently?:

Push a little harder.
