Why can't they have these porta-potties at races I go to??  This is classic!

I think it's funny they have the little universal blue MAN decal on them. WTF?

I laughed when I saw this pic only because where I live they had a pilot program where these porta potties would "pop" up at night when the nightclubs closed to discourage people from just going in the doorway of a building. I think it was success and they are going to be doing it full time .

I heard they do something kinda like that in France, otherwise people would just go in the street.

I want to know what that heart-shaped logo is all about. Nothing says love like multiple urinals...

I saw a few of these in London last weekend, around leicester square / covent garden area - I couldn't believe that these things were slap bang in the middle of the pavement!! I suppose its better than people using doorways etc, but I think its gross!

I think I'd rather have men water the trees/doorways than see downtown filled with these.

We have a rule.  If it's Tri-related, or I just cooked something awesome ... no apolgies.  Otherwise?  'Fess up and be respectful.

But, to the OP, where DO the girls go?

It would be cool if they put these out with the porta potties at races as it would/could help reduce the length of the porta pot lines (I'm cool with going in the woods, but that's typically discouraged, especially around the TAs, so us girls would still be forced to use regular porta potties). However, I guess if they did that, the guys standing in the porta pot line might as well just be wearing a big sign that reads: "I'm about to go #2."

What if the guy is not tall enough (I'm almost 6'3"??  Back to the tree, bushes, doorway, etc. I guess.

My first reaction was, "eeewwww," but it took me two seconds to realize that if this keeps the men out of the REGULAR porta-potties...  A cluster of these, then for the ladies a nice row of the regular ones minus the usual urine splashed about everwhere -- the idea has my vote!

no, just didn't believe that you were suggesting that French people would just pee in the streets, and you were posting that based on what "you heard."  Ever been to France?

But maybe I just read it wrong.  I think I must read a lot of your posts wrong.  Sorry.

Yeah it seems pretty unqualified now that I look back at it. It was a guy [a germophobe no less] doing a radio show from Europe and he commented on that. I think he said it was in an area where the bars were? This was like a month ago that I heard it.

A lot of people talk about what "they heard". I "heard" that some guy died at the NYC Marathon trials on Saturday, but I've never been to New York. I also "heard" that some planes were flown into some buildings there, but again I can't give you a visual/experiential confirmation.
