Subject: Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island

Holy crap! Did anyone else see this?

Starting next year, there's a new Ironman 70.3 event... in Rhode Island! This is awesome not only because we need more 70.3's around here, but because it's in frickin Rhode Island! And it sounds like a pretty cool course. Finishing in downtown Providence. Slick!

If I wasn't doing IMLP next year, I'd be all over this.

I'm definitely thinking about doing this one, but it's only a week after the Patriot half. Not sure I want to do both.

I volunteered at IMFL this past weekend and was really impressed at how well they put that on, so I might do the 70.3 branded one.

THANK YOU for posting this!  Over the summer someone I know who works for DOT mentioned working on the route for this race...I have since forgotten about it and had planned on doing the FIRMman in Narragansett in Sept.  Now I can look into this, 2 mos sooner Laughing And it is on my bday weekend, great bday gift for myself!
